Artisan Craft
Every piece carries our maker's mark - a promise of quality, provenance, and intentional craft. Sourced from artisans who have served the tea ceremony for generations.
Hand-thrown Stoneware Tea Bowl
Each bowl is individually thrown and ash-glazed by Kyoto potter Shoji Hayashi. The rough interior surface creates an exceptional foam when whisking. Wide rim and palm-fitting depth designed for the ceremony.
Side-handle Tokoname Clay Teapot
Crafted from Tokoname red clay - naturally rich in iron, which enhances the taste of your water and tea. The side-handle (yokode) design keeps your wrist comfortable while pouring. Built-in ceramic strainer.
Complete Chado Equipment Set
Everything needed for a complete tea ceremony. Includes our ceremonial chawan, 80-tine chasen, bamboo chashaku scoop, linen chakin cloth, and a 30g tin of ceremonial matcha from Uji. Presented in a hand-lacquered paulownia wood box.
80-tine Bamboo Matcha Whisk
Hand-carved from a single piece of aged Kyoto bamboo by the artisan workshop Chasen Tanimura - one of the last remaining chasen-making families in Japan. 80 fine tines produce a silky, even foam.
First Harvest · Uji, Kyoto · 30g
First-flush ceremonial grade from Uji's Okumidori cultivar, shade-grown for 35 days and stone-ground at ≤40 rpm. Electric jade colour, rich umami, zero bitterness. Nitrogen-flushed and sealed for freshness.
Portable Matcha Ceremony Set
Bring your practice anywhere. Includes a compact travel chawan, collapsible chasen, mini chashaku, a 20g travel matcha tin, and a bamboo travel mat - packed in a handmade linen pouch with 碧石 embossed.
The Maker's Mark
The 碧石 (Heki-ishi, "blue-green stone") mark appears on every piece. It signifies two things: the colour of the finest matcha, and the permanence of the stone - things made to last, to be passed down, to outlast the moment.
We work exclusively with artisans in Kyoto, Tokoname, and Nara who have served the tea community for multiple generations. No mass production. Every imperfection is a fingerprint of the maker's hand.
